With its prime location, exceptional design and international standards, Vietcombank Tower is more than just an office building—it is an architectural icon of Ho Chi Minh City. The tower has solidified its position as a premier destination for both domestic and international enterprises.
Located at No. 5 Me Linh Square, behind Tran Hung Dao Statue and next to Bach Dang Wharf Square, Vietcombank Tower presents a rare "four-frontage" position with convenient access via both road and waterway. This prime location not only makes the building stand out in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City but also provides expansive, unobstructed views, which is an unique advantage that not many buildings can offer.
A convergence of architectural and construction excellence
Designed by the renowned architect César Pelli, who is well-known for iconic landmarks such as the Petronas Towers (Malaysia) and the International Finance Centre (Hong Kong), Vietcombank Tower embodies a sophisticated combination of modern American architecture and Vietnamese cultural heritage. Standing 206-meter tall with 4 basement levels and 35 above-ground floors, the building is emphasized with a tiered metallic spire inspired by the crown of Hung King. This design, in addition to create a striking visual focal point, honors Vietnam’s rich cultural legacy.
The building’s façade is crafted with precision, featuring stone panels seamlessly joined to exude contemporary elegance. The harmonious integration of stone, aluminum, and glass not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also reduces energy consumption by up to 30%. At night, an artistic lighting system accentuates the tower's contours and magnificence, transforming Vietcombank Tower into a luminous beacon in the heart of the city.
Leading sustainability standards in premium office market
Over the past three years, Vietcombank Tower has focused on implementing international sustainability standards for its operations. In August 2024, the building achieved LEED Platinum certification — the highest level awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). In the future, Vietcombank Tower is set to pursue the prestigious WELL Core V2 Gold certification
While LEED focuses on energy efficiency, operations, and maintenance, the WELL standard prioritizes health and user experience, evaluating on ten core factors ranging from air quality, lighting, acoustics to materials and comfort. Vietcombank Tower is poised to become the first and only office building in Vietnam to achieve both certifications.
According to Mr. Santanu Dupta Gupta, Vice President of Market Development at USGBC, "Vietcombank Tower stands as a rare example in Vietnam of transforming an existing building into a green structure that meets international sustainability standards.”
Since its inauguration, Vietcombank Tower has consistently maintained an impressive occupancy rate, currently standing at 97%, significantly exceeding the average for Grade A buildings in Ho Chi Minh City. It has become the preferred destination for numerous major corporations, including Vietcombank, Heineken, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group - Phu Quoc Petroleum Operating Company, Johnson & Johnson, Sunlife, Shiseido, Idemitsu, Sojitz, Sumitomo Corporation, Pernod Ricard, and Baker & McKenzie, among others.
Mr. Dao Ngoc Hung shared, "We believe that the quality of a building is not only about its facilities but also the user experience. From workspace design to customer service, every element is carefully crafted to deliver long-term value."
